Welcome to “Toddler and Me – Recipes and Tips”.

My name is Georgina and I am a 30 something year old mum to amazing young kids!! When my eldest was 6 months old, my husband and I decided to start Baby Led Weaning (BLW) which was interesting to say the least, and since then, we have spent every month trying to find new and interesting ways to introduce new foods to her and her brother’s diets, not always with success!

We have done everything possible to keep the unnecessary intake of sugars, salts and junk to a minimum, and this website is a collection of recipes and tips that I have gathered together from recipe books, websites, parents, friends, nursery staff and health visitors that we have spoken to over the last few months. All of the recipes that I have added to this site require limited (if any) cooking or baking skills, and often are not very messy for younger babies to handle. If you see a green (V) next to a recipe, or the word Ingredients in green, then it means that the basic recipe is suitable for vegetarians. Simple and fuss free, that’s the way I like meal times to be!

I have also now added a new “GROWN-UPS DECIDE” tab. As all of these recipes can be suitable for babies, toddlers and adults alike, there are times when we want to tweak a recipe to include a higher sugar/salt/junk content. We’re are all human after all! Click on the “Grown-Ups Decide” tab for a list of recipe variations and brand new recipes that aren’t as suitable for babies and toddlers, and then you make the decision about who gets the the tasty treats!!
